Choosing a service
AI companion website or app? A practical mobile checklist
Compare browser and installed AI companion experiences by access, account continuity, controls and billing—not unsupported feature promises.
An AI companion can be offered through a website, an installed app or both. The best starting point is the device you already use and the experience you want: a quick conversation in a browser, an app with particular device features, or access across multiple screens. “App” is not automatically a sign of better AI, and “website” does not necessarily mean fewer features.
Start with the actual product, not the label
Check whether the service supports your device, browser and region. Then identify the features you care about—text, voice, character choice, galleries or games—and confirm which are included. A product’s web and installed versions may differ; do not assume screenshots of one represent the other.
MyFittys is available through the browser on mobile and desktop. This guide does not claim a separate native MyFittys app, offline conversations, push notifications or voice calls. Its current experience centres on fictional sports characters, text chat, galleries and games.
Try the keyboard and message area
On a phone, the keyboard takes a large share of the screen. During a trial, check whether you can read recent messages, reach Send and scroll back comfortably. Rotate only if that is how you normally use the device; judge the experience in your real everyday setup.
Also try a longer message and a shorter reply. Text size, line length and reachable controls can matter more to a daily conversation than an impressive promotional image. If something does not work, record the browser and device for support.
Account access and guest chat are different
A browser can let you start immediately, but guest access should not be treated as a guarantee of history synchronisation. Switching browser, clearing browser data or using a private window can change what is available locally.
MyFittys offers five free chat messages per day across the site without sign-up to start. Paid access is associated with the account used to subscribe, so use the same account when returning on another device. Do not create a second account to recover a purchase; check the original sign-in method first.
Check privacy and shared-device habits
Neither a browser nor an installed icon alone tells you how a provider handles messages. Read the privacy notice, understand the account controls and avoid sharing information you would not want processed. On a shared device, sign out when you finish and be mindful of what remains visible on screen.
Private browsing is not a promise that the service cannot process your messages. It also should not be used as a workaround for usage limits. The privacy questions guide explains what to check without treating one interface as automatically safer.
Know where your subscription is managed
Before paying, note who bills you, the account email and where cancellation controls live. Closing a browser, deleting a shortcut or uninstalling software is not the same as cancelling renewal.
MyFittys uses its existing account and checkout flow. Review the plan comparison and subscription policy before purchase. If you compare another service with an app-store purchase, follow that provider’s actual billing instructions rather than assuming the same process applies.
Test the activities you intend to use
If you enjoy games, check whether they have dedicated controls or are simply stories described in chat. On MyFittys, Olivia’s Keep It Up and Grace’s Sprint Duel are examples of themed on-screen activities. Games require a paid plan including the character; the free chat allowance does not unlock a game trial.
Choose the platform whose real interaction suits you. You can explore MyFittys profiles and try a short conversation from your current browser before deciding whether to subscribe.
