Games to play with AI companions: six ideas for your next chat
Try original word, choice and storytelling games in AI chat, and understand how conversational activities differ from built-in arcade games.
A conversation game gives both sides something to do besides asking “how was your day?” You agree a simple rule, take turns and see where the exchange goes. These activities use ordinary messages. They do not need a dedicated game mode, but AI can lose track of rules, and every message remains subject to the service’s chat allowance.
On MyFittys, these are prompts you can try, not extra built-in features. The scored arcade games and Noughts & Crosses are separate paid activities. If you want reliable board state or a score, use those instead of asking a language model to keep track.
1. The two-choice afternoon
Take turns offering two appealing options for an imagined afternoon. After each choice, add one detail before offering the next pair. There is no correct answer and no need to turn it into a personality test.
“Sophia, let’s invent a beach afternoon. Give me two choices at a time. Start with a quiet cove or a lively promenade, then build on my answer.”
This suits Sophia’s surfing personality. End after three choices and ask for a short recap rather than letting the scenario expand indefinitely.
2. One-sentence story relay
Each person contributes one sentence to a fictional scene. Keep one location and one small problem: the café has run out of your favourite drink, or the picnic has become unexpectedly windy. The constraint makes the result easier to follow.
“We’re writing a fictional countryside comedy, one sentence each. Don’t write my turn. My first sentence: Amelia arrived at the picnic with a basket full of spoons and no food.”
Try it with Amelia. If the reply becomes a full story, repeat the one-sentence rule. It is collaborative improvisation, not a guaranteed rules engine.
3. Sell me the unlikely plan
Choose an ordinary activity, then ask the Fitty to make a playful case for it in two sentences. Swap roles next turn. For example, argue that a rainy walk is an excellent weekend plan, then reply with the strongest case for staying in.
Keep the subject low stakes. The fun is in creative persuasion, not trusting a confident answer about health, money or another serious decision. Emily’s competitive tone is a natural fit for light disagreement.
4. A tiny mystery with a visible answer
Instead of asking the AI to secretly remember a solution, write a tiny mystery whose answer you already know: “I went out with two gloves and came back holding one. The other is still on my hand. Give me a different harmless puzzle like that.” Take turns solving short examples.
AI-generated puzzles can be ambiguous or inconsistent. If an answer does not fit, discuss the wording rather than treating the score as meaningful. Avoid long chains of clues that depend on perfect memory.
5. Three-word scene
Supply three words and ask for a short scene that uses all of them. Then let the Fitty choose three words for you. “Coffee, medal, umbrella” could start a playful competition-day scene with Lucy. Limit each turn to a few sentences so the game stays quick.
6. Would you rather—with a reason
Offer two everyday options and require one reason, not a quiz result. “Would you rather watch a dramatic final or play a relaxed match with friends?” Your follow-up can disagree, ask for a compromise or propose a new pair.
Keep options comfortable and non-explicit. Skip any question you do not like; there is no obligation to disclose a secret or personal detail to keep a game moving.
When a built-in game is the better choice
Text games work well for imagination and conversation. They are less suitable for exact timing, reliable hidden information or keeping a board consistent. MyFittys’ built-in games provide defined controls and results, including a themed arcade game for each Fitty and Noughts & Crosses. They require a paid plan including the character and do not spend free chat messages.
Read the game and progression guide for the actual roster. To try a conversational activity, choose a Fitty and use a short prompt. Five free messages a day are shared across the site, so a long story relay may need to wait for another allowance or a suitable subscription.
